Wayman had a brother named John who lived in the part of Prince William County that became Fauquier County. This is the area that had German settlers. John's sons, William and James, married sisters: Elizabeth and Margaret Darnall who were daughters of JEREMIAH DARNALL and CATHERINE HOLTZCLAW. I believe that William & James' brother John may also have married a German. If not, then it is very possible that the father, John, may have married a German as the John I have traced stated that he (John Jr) spoke fluent German.
